The town of Moreau is located on the northeast boundary of Saratoga County. It is bounded on the east and north by the Hudson River with the counties of Washington and Warren on the other side, on the west by the town of Corinth, and on the south by towns of Wilton and Northumberland. The populatin of Moreau in 1865 was 2279.
