The town of Stillwater is located on the east boundary of Saratoga County. It is bounded on the east by the Hudson River with Renssaelaer and Washington Counties on the other side, on the nort by the town of Saratoga, on the west by the town of Malta, and on the south by town of Half Moon. The population of Stillwater in 1865 was 3087.
