Textbook (Dale and Lewis) Chapter 1 to Chapter 5 (skip the topics that we didn't discuss in class):
Different layers of software surrounding computer hardware
Binary representation of numbers
Conversion of numbers in different bases
Logical gates and combinational circuits
organization of computer components
UNIX (LINUX) command line programming: cd, cp, ls, chmod, mv, ..., etc
Composition of web pages: HTML tags, upload to server, etc
Basics of ALICE programming: first two chapters of Randy Pausch's book (you can skip the features or topics that we didn't discuss in the lab)
