The Arena Applet. See below for an explanation.
This is like the second Genebat Applet, but has a few modifications.
Many arenas of players
The herds are back! In terms
of the game/player strategy, the herds are arenas that the
players meet in. They're arranged in a circle.
You can set the number of arenas to up to 100. Players usually stay in
the same arena, but you can set the
frequency that they should migrate to the neighboring arenas, and you can
set the size of the bands that move between arenas.
The genes
There are 23 genes. Each one is a probability.
- The probability of defecting on the first move
- The probability of leaving if the partner just cooperated
- The probability of leaving if the partner just defected
- The probability of defecting on the second move if both just cooperated
- The probability of defecting on the second move if self only just cooperated
- The probability of defecting on the second move if partner only just cooperated
- The probability of defecting on the second move if both just defected
- The probability of defecting if both cooperated on last two moves
- The probability of defecting if both cooperated on last move, but partner did not on previous
- The probability of defecting if both cooperated on last move, but self did not on previous
- The probability of defecting if both cooperated on last move, but neither did not on previous
- The probability of defecting if partner defected last move, but both cooperated on previous
- The probability of defecting if partner defected last move and previous (but not self)
- The probability of defecting if partner defected last move, but self did not on previous
- The probability of defecting if partner defected last move, and both did previous
- The probability of defecting if self defected last move, but both cooperated on previous
- The probability of defecting if self defected last move and previous
- The probability of defecting if self defected last move, but self did not on previous
- The probability of defecting if self defected last move, and both did previous
- The probability of defecting if both defected last move, but both cooperated on previous
- The probability of defecting if both defected last move, and parner on previous
- The probability of defecting if both defected last move, but self on previous
- The probability of defecting if both defected last move, and both did previous
The files for this applet are listed here. The Arena.html
file is this file you're looking at. The *.java files
are the program source files for the applet. The *.class
files are the compiled files that run when the applet is
running. They're all needed to run the applet.
