Subject: Questionnaire

--Please give us your thoughtful responses to the following anonymous questionnaire to help the Math/CS department find ways of increasing its teaching effectiveness.
--Respond by reply e-mail (to Theresa Shusas) by Wednesday, March 29.<
--This questionnaire is not designed to measure your professor’s teaching. The standard questionnaire for that purpose will be distributed later.
--You may discuss practices, both effective and non-effective, you have seen at Clark or elsewhere, but please do not identify any professors who are involved.
  1. What is your expected year of graduation? (If uncertain, state a year which best reflects your current status).
  2. What are your goals in taking a math course?
  3. Give some examples from math courses you have taken of teaching that has helped you, or not helped you, meet your goals. (Be specific about the teaching methods, but don’t name the instructors involved.)
  4. What specific suggestions would you give math professors to help you and them attain your goals?
