Newaygo County Marriage records indicate William married Hazel B. Dorman on 21 August 1910, in garfield Township. He was 27, born in Michigan, resided in Newaygo Village, and was a photographer. She was 17, born in Michigan, lived in Newaygo Village and was a domestic. His parents were Wesley Balck and Alice Octinaw. Hers were George Dorman and Effie Traver. Frank Napper, minister, married them with W. H. and Mary L. Ostrom as witnesses. Book 4, # 746, page 253.

"A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Will Black last Friday night."
Newaygo County Death records state William died of influenza on 23 November 1918 in Newaygo Village. He was 36 years one month and four days old. He was a cement worker and his parents were Wesley Black and Alice Echtinaw. Book 3, page 112.
On 21 Aug 1910 William Andrew married Hazel D. Dorman, at Garfield Township, Newaygo Co. MI. Born ca 1895. Hazel D. died at Newaygo Village, Newaygo County, MI, on 27 Nov 1918.
Newaygo County Death Records indicate Hazel died of influenza and pneumonia on 27 November 1918 in Newaygo Village. She was 23 years nine months and 13 days old. Her parents were George Dorman and Effie Mahaley. Book 3 page 113.

She is 25, resided in Grand Rapids and was a dressmaker. Both were born in Michigan. His parents are Wesley Black and Alice Echtinaw; hers are John Sullivan and Mary Malney. He has been married once before. John A. Schmidt was the minister and witnesses were Robert E. and Marceline Sullivan of Grand Rapids. Book 4 #1529, page 305.
