He was born in New York and Carrie in Michigan. Mabel was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery on 30 June 1912. Her mother was the informant.
On 24 Nov 1914 when Vesta C. was 36, he third married Gertrude E. Miller, daughter of Henry Miller & Cornelia Van Ness, in Mason, Ingham Co., MI.
