Alfonso II, the Chaste, king of Asturias (791-842). He succeeded Vermudo I (Alfonso’s father’s first cousin), and was succeeded by Vermudo’s son Ramiro I.

Alfonso II married [____] of Italy (302) , daughter of King Pepin I of Italy (263) (Apr 777-8 Jul 810) & Bertha of Toulouse.

Alfonso’s wife may have been the daughter of King Pipin.
