4677. King Richard II of England. Born on 6 Jan 1367 in Bordeaux. Richard II died in 1400 in Pontefract Castle.

Richard II, King of England (1377-1399). He succeeded his grandfather Edward III as king, and was, in turn suceeded by his cousin, Henry IV, son of Richard’s uncle John of Gaunt. Richard II was king during part of the Hundred Years’ War with France, a war that began during his grandfather’s reign.
