474. William Holdridge. Born ca 1610 in London, England. William died in Haverhill, MA. Occupation: tanner.

William, of the parish of St. Alphage, Cripplegate, London, came in the Elizabeth in 1635, aged 25. He was first at Salisbury, MA, when the name is Holdred. He moved to Haverhill, MA by 1646.2

William married Isabella [Holdridge]. Isabella died in 1689.

Isabella (or Isabel), possibly surname Craddock. She testified in the Salem Witch Trial of John Godfrey, 1659 (See Upham’s History of Witchcraft). She was murdered in the Mast Swamp at Exeter, NH, early in 1689 by Negro Jack, who was executed in Boston. Her son-in-law Richard Morgan administered her estate, inventory 16 Jun 1689, 20 Feb. 1692/3.
