618. Jonathan Wade. Born ca 1612.5 Jonathan died on 13 Jun 1683 in Ipswich, MA.5 Occupation: merchant and tavern keeper.

Jonathan came to New England on the Lion, arriving 16 Sept 1632, perhaps with his wife Susannah, first at Charlestown, was a merchant, and with his wife was received into the church 25 may 1633, a freeman 14 may 1634. He removed in 1636 to Ipswich, was on a grand jury 1637, had 200 acres granted in 1639 and 400 more in 1649. He was representative 1669, 1681, and 1682.2

Jonathan Wade “was one of the early settlers at Ipswich, where he was freeman 1634. His second wife was Mrs. Dorothy Buckley, whom he m. Dec. 9, 1660; and his third wife, Susannah, d. Nov. 29 16779. He had two brothers, Nathaniel and Thomas.”110

Jonathan married Susannah [Wade]. Susannah died on 29 Nov 1678 in Ipswich, MA.5
