On 7 Jan 1662 John first married Sarah Lunt, daughter of Henry Lunt (21 Dec 1610-10 Jul 1662) & Anne [Lunt], in Reading, MA.14 Born on 8 Nov 1639 in Newbury, MA. Sarah died in Reading, MA, on 21 Dec 1685; she was 46.

705. Mary Batchelder. Born ca 1635 in Reading, MA. Mary died on 27 Feb 1729 in Reading, MA.

On 22 Nov 1660 Mary married Nathaniel Cowdrey, son of Dea. William Cowdrey (1602-10 Nov 1687) & Joanna [Cowdrey] (-6 May 1666), in Reading, MA.14 Born ca 1639. Nathaniel died on 16 Jun 1690 in Reading, MA.14

Nathaniel settled on Cowdrey’s hill, so named from him, on a farm, a portion of which is still [1874] owned and occupied by Jonas Cowdrey, his descendant. He was a town clerk and selectman.15

On 30 Dec 1679 when David was 36, he married Hannah Plumer, daughter of Samuel Plumer (ca 1619-Dec 1701) & Mary Bitfield (-ca 1701), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 6 Feb 1655 in Newbury, MA. Hannah died in Reading, MA, on 16 Mar 1731; she was 76.
