1065. Elizabeth Curtis. Born on 12 Jan 1651 in Scituate, MA.39 At the age of 1, Elizabeth was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 4 Jul 1652.116

On 24 Dec 1678 when Elizabeth was 27, she married Nathaniel Brooks (825) , son of William Brooks (359) (ca 1615-bet 7 Jul 1680 and 24 Jan 1682/3) & [Brooks] (-bet 1659 and 1665), in Scituate, MA.116 Born ca Mar 1646 in Scituate, MA. Nathaniel was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 29 Mar 1646.116 Nathaniel died on 6 Jan 1716/7 in Scituate, MA.

1066. John Curtis. Born on 9 Dec 1653 in Scituate, MA.116 John died in Scituate, MA.39

John inherited the homestead and continued farming and fishing.39

"John married Miriam, daughter of William Brooks 1678, and had children, Mercy born 1678-9, Hannah 1681, William September 15, 1683. His only son William married Rachel, daughter of Dea. Samuel Stodder, 1707, and had children, John born 1708, Samuel 1711, Rachel 1712, William 1714, Rachel 1717, Samuel 1719, Elizabeth 1722. The last son, Samuel married Rachel Briggs 1745, and his son Samuel married Ruth Nash 1777, and Ammiel, son of the latter, is living in Scituate."6

On 4 Apr 1678 when John was 24, he married Miriam Brooks (828) , daughter of William Brooks (359) (ca 1615-bet 7 Jul 1680 and 24 Jan 1682/3) & [Brooks] (-bet 1659 and 1665), in Scituate, MA.116 Born ca Jun 1652 in Scituate, MA. Miriam was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 6 Jun 1652.116

On 1 Aug 1676 when Mary was 21, she married Jonathan Babcock, son of Robert Babcock (ca 1610-12 Nov 1694) & Joanna Phillips (ca 1628-4 Dec 1700), in Milton, MA. Born ca 1651 in Dorchester, MA. Jonathan was baptized in Dorchester, MA, on 7 Mar 1651. Jonathan died on 5 Jan 1731/2 in Coventry, CT.

Jonathan Badcocke, or Babcock. He moved to Lebanon in 1709, Windham in 1711, then Coventry.

On 11 Jan 1676 when Martha was 18, she married Thomas Clark in Scituate, MA.116 Thomas died on 12 May 1739 in Coventry, CT.

From Deane’s History of Scituate:6
    "Thomas Clark was in Scituate 1674. He came hither from Plymouth, and was probably the son or grandson of Thomas Clark, the mate of the May-flower in 1620. His farm is Scituate was on the west of Walnut tree hill, (a half mile west of late Judge William Cushing's mansion), and adjoining that of Cornet Buck.”

1069. Thomas Curtis. Born on 16 Mar 1659 in Scituate, MA.116

"Thomas (the younger son of Richard) settled on the tract of land called Egypt, where he had a house 1693. He married Mary, sister of Robert Cooke, 1694, and daughter of William Cooke: and had children, Deborah born 1697, Ruth 1699, Mary 1701, Thomas, March 5, 1703-4, Ruth 1711. The only son, Thomas, jr., married Ruth Wade 1729, and had children Thomas 3d, born December 8, 1729, Jael 1732, Eli 1733, Ruth 1735, Simeon 1739, Abner 1742, Beriah 1745. Charles, how occupies the form of three generations of his ancestors, is son of the last named Thomas, whose wife was Susanna Bailey 1759. Eli has also posterity in Scituate. He married Desire Turner 1758, and Elizabeth Bailey 1777. Eli, jr. married Bathsheba Nichols 1782.
    "From this family have descended some of the name in the west of Scituate, Hanover and Abington. Abner, son of Thomas, jr., married Sarah Ford 1766, and lived in Hanover. Beriah removed to Chesterfield. He married Desire Litchfield 1783."6

On 6 Mar 1694/5 when Thomas was 34, he married Mary Cook, daughter of William Cooke & Mary [Cooke], in Scituate, MA.116 Born in Jul 1676 in Scituate, MA.116

1070. Deborah Curtis. Born on 16 Apr 1661 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of 1, Deborah was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 18 May 1662.116 Deborah died bef 1693.

1071. Sarah Curtis. Born on 20 Jul 1663 in Scituate, MA.116 Sarah died ca 1739.

According to Deane,6 Sarah was Samuel’s second wife.

On 25 Jul 1694 when Sarah was 31, she married Samuel Tilden (26249) , son of Dea. Joseph Tilden (14233) (ca Apr 1615-3 Jun 1670) & Alice Twisden (ca Mar 1633-aft 1694), in Scituate, MA.116 Born on 12 Sep 1660 in Scituate, MA.3 Samuel died in Scituate, MA, on 10 Jun 1738; he was 77.

Samuel settled on the Norh river, between Gravelly beach and Union bridge.6
