1119. Mary Dingley. Born say 1635 in poss. Sandwich, MA. Mary died on 1 Jul 1655 in Marshfield, MA.20 Buried in Duxbury, MA.

On 19 Dec 1654 Mary married Capt. Josiah Standish, son of Capt. Myles Standish (ca 1584-3 Oct 1656) & Barbara [Standish], in Marshfield, MA.20 “Josias Standish and mary Dingly were maried the .19. of December. 1654”. Born ca 1633 in Plymouth, MA. Josiah died on 19 Mar 1689/90 in Preston, CT.

Josiah lived awhile in East Bridgewater; moved to Duxbury about 1686, and later moved to Norwich, CT.169

1120. Sarah Dingley. Born ca 1639 in poss. Sandwich, MA. Sarah died on 7 May 1727 in Marshfield, MA.170 Buried in Old Burial Ground, Cong. Ch., Marshfield.

On 4 Nov 1658 Sarah married Dea. William Ford (1232) , son of William Ford (432) (ca 1604-Sep 1676) & Anna [Ford] (-Aug or Sep 1684), in Marshfield, MA.20 “William fford Juniour & Sarah Dingly were maried The 4 of november 1658”. Born ca 1634 in Marshfield, MA.7 William died on 7 Feb 1721/2 in Marshfield, MA.170 Buried in Old Burial Ground, Cong. Ch., Marshfield.

He established the mill known as Dunham’s Mill on the stream at the turn of the road on Plain Street.7

William was out on serv. in the first day of Philip’s hostility, 24 Jun 1675.2

1121. Hannah Dingley. Born say 1641 in Sandwich or Marshfield, MA.

ca 1660 Hannah married Josiah Keen, son of John Keen (ca 1578-14 Nov 1649) & Martha [Keen] (-ca 1738).121 Born in London, England. Josiah died bef 15 Sep 1710 in prob. Duxbury.121

Apparently this is the Josias Keene who came on the Confidence in 1638 with his mother Martha Keen. See TAG 63:122 for comments on his pruported father.121

In 1666 Josias was elected surveror of highways for Marshfield, and in 1667 constable for Marshfield. He moved to Duxbury some time later. On 12 Sep 1707 Josiah Kein Sr. and four of his sons shared in the division of the commons in Duxbury.121

1122. Jacob Dingley. Born ca 1642 in Sandwich or Marshfield, MA.54 Jacob died on 18 Aug 1691 in Marshfield, MA.20

ca 1666 Jacob married Elizabeth Newton (6066) , daughter of Richard Newton (-24 Aug 1701) & Anne Loker (1658) (ca 1605-5 Dec 1697).54 Born ca 1650.169 Elizabeth died on 30 Mar 1718 in Marshfield, MA.20 Buried in Marshfield, MA.

From the will of Elizabeth’s father, Richard Newton: “unto each of my two daughters, namely Elizabeth Dingley, sen^r ... I bequeath Two Shillings, and no more, because I ahve given a portion to each already, these shillings shall be paid ... within Two months after my decease.”169
