1232. Dea. William Ford. Born ca 1634 in Marshfield, MA.7 William died on 7 Feb 1721/2 in Marshfield, MA.170 Buried in Old Burial Ground, Cong. Ch., Marshfield.

He established the mill known as Dunham’s Mill on the stream at the turn of the road on Plain Street.7

William was out on serv. in the first day of Philip’s hostility, 24 Jun 1675.2

On 4 Nov 1658 William married Sarah Dingley (1120) , daughter of John Dingley (414) (ca 1610-bef 13 Mar 1689/90), in Marshfield, MA.20 “William fford Juniour & Sarah Dingly were maried The 4 of november 1658”. Born ca 1639 in poss. Sandwich, MA. Sarah died on 7 May 1727 in Marshfield, MA.170 Buried in Old Burial Ground, Cong. Ch., Marshfield.

Michael was a resident of Duxbury, Marshfield, and Scituate. Constable in Marshfield, 1674.

On 12 Dec 1667 Michael first married Abigail Snow (8354) , daughter of Anthony Snow (ca 1615-Aug 1692) & Abigail Warren (2293) (ca 1618-aft 3 Jan 1692/3), in Marshfield, MA.20 “michaell fford and Abigail Snow was maryed [12] december 1667”. Born ca 1648 in Plymouth, MA.24 Abigail died in Jun 1682. Buried on 26 Jun 1682 in Marshfield, MA.20

Abigail and her two infant daughters all died on 26 Jun 1682.

Born on 31 Mar 1661 in Scituate, MA.116,3 At the age of <1, Bethia was baptized in Scituate, MA, on 12 May 1661. Bethia died in Marshfield, MA, on 22 Nov 1728; she was 67.170 Buried in Old Burial Ground, Cong. Ch., Marshfield.

1234. Millicent Ford. Millicent died ca 1696 in Marshfield, MA.179

Millicent married her first husband, John Carver, on the same day that her older brother William married Sarah Dingley.

After Millicent married her second husband, Thomas Drake, she moved, with at least some of her children, to Weymouth.180

On 4 Nov 1658 Millicent first married John Carver, son of Robert Carver (ca 1594-Apr 1680) & Christian [Carver] (ca 1594-Jul 1658), in Marshfield, MA.20 “John Carver and Millicant fford were maried The 4. of November 1658”. Born ca 1637 in prob. Duxbury, MA.21 John died on 23 Jun 1679 in Marshfield, MA.20 Buried on 23 Jun 1679 in Marshfield, MA.20 “[worn] Carver Seniour was Buried 23 of June 1679, being 42 years old”.

John was admitted a freeman of the Colony 6 Jun 1660, and his name appears frequently on the lists of jurors. He was chosen by the General Court of the Plymouth Colony, on 4 Jun 1661 constable of Marshfield, and on 3 Jun 1674 surveyor of highways.180

(John did not have a daugher Rebecca. Neither did he marry Rebecca Mann. Rather “John Cowen m. Rebackah Man last of March 1656” at Marshfield.179)

On 9 Mar 1680/1 Millicent second married Thomas Drake, son of William Drake (ca 1596-29 Mar 1640) & Margaret Westover (ca 1599-1636), in Marshfield, MA.20 Born ca 1635 in Colyton, Devonshire. Thomas was baptized in Colyton, Devonshire, on 16 Apr 1635. Thomas died on 23 Sep 1682 in Weymouth, MA.

Thomas Drake first appears at Weymouth, 14 Dec. 1663. On that day the town granted him six acres in the First Division and eighteen acres in the Second Division. (Weymouth Land Grants, 283.)87

Thomas may be the Thomas Drake baptized 1635 at Colyton, son of William.
