JOHN, Cambridge, bapt. at Stepney, near London 6 June 1602, was elder br. of Edward, and I presume came in the Defence 1635, from London, aged 30, call. at the custom ho. "wholesale man in Burchen lane," by w. wh. perhaps d. soon, had beside perhaps two ds. Sarah and Theodosia, John (wh. d. 17 Oct. 1675 in 36th yr. prob. never m.); was freem. perhaps 2 June 1641, but more prob. 10 May 1643, and by w. Margaret had Caleb, b. 12 Dec. 1645, d. in 2 days; Hannah, 7 June 1646, says Hist. of N. 327, prob. error for 7 Jan. 1647; Abigail, 14 Aug. 1648; Margaret, 20 June 1649; Edward, 14 Jan. 1651, k. by the Ind. at Medfield, 21 Feb. 1676; Mary; Abraham, 14 Aug. 1655, bef. ment.; Deliverance, 9 Nov. 1657; Joshua, 15 Sept. 1659; and Grace, whose date is, like Mary's, unkn. He bot. in 1639 the est. of Miles Ives, was deac. and d. 30 Jan. 1675. His wid. Margaret d. 28 Aug. 1684, in 60th yr. Theodosia m. 10 Dec. 1664, capt Noah Wiswall; next, Samuel Newman of Rehoboth; Hannah m. Elijah Kenrick, and next, 20 Jan. 1682, John Hyde; Abigail m. Daniel Preston; Margaret m. 30 Jan. 1674, James Trowbridge, as sec. w.; and Mary m. Samuel Truesdale.2

On 21 Feb 1641 John married Margaret Taft, daughter of Nicholas Taft & Margaret Milner, in Stepney, London. Born on 28 Mar 1617/8 in London, England. Margaret died in Newton, MA, on 28 Aug 1684; she was 66.

1558. Edward Jackson. Born ca 1604 in Stepney, England. Edward was baptized in Stepney, England, on 3 Feb 1604/5.2 Edward died on 17 Jul 1681 in Newton, MA.2 Occupation: nailor.

Edward came to New England about 1643, and settled at Cambridge. He was freeman 1645, purchaced in 1646 a farm of 500 acres from Gov. Bradstreet for £140, before he went to the Vineyard. He was representative 1647 and for 15 years more. In his will he made large gift of Iand in Billerica to Harvard Coll. He lived in what was called the village, now Newton.2

Lydia m. 1680, Joseph Fuller, and d. 12 Jan. 1726; Elizabeth m. 28 Mar. 1677, John Prentice, and next, Jonas Bond, and d. 25 Jan. 1741. 2

On 2 Dec 1629 Edward first married Frances [Jackson] in London, England. Frances died on 5 Oct 1648 in Cambridge, MA.

Frances came with Edward from England.

Elizabeth was baptized in St. Olaves, Southwark, Surrey, on 1 Jan 1617/8.5 Elizabeth died on 30 Sep 1709 in Newton, MA. Religion: admitted to Boston church 30 March 1634.5
