1613. John Knight. Born ca 1622 in Romsey, Southampton, England. John was baptized in Romsey, Southampton, England, on 14 May 1626. John died on 27 Feb 1677/8 in Newbury, MA.

John came to New England with his parents in 1635. He was constable in Newberry in 1654, selectman 1668, a sergeant of the militia in 1666, and an ensign in 1669.

ca 1647 John married Bathsheba Ingersoll (1555) , daughter of Richard Ingersoll (484) (ca 1587-1644) & Agnes Langlye (say 1590-30 Jul 1677), in Newbury, MA. Born ca 1629 in Sands, Bedfordshire. Bathsheba died on 25 Oct 1705 in Newbury, MA.2
