2053. John Sayles. Born ca 1630/1633 in Charlestown, MA. John died in 1681 in Middletown, RI.

John was in Providence by 1645, and on the list of freemen in 1655. The next year he was town clerk. In May 1666 he swore allegiance to Charles II²

John married Mary Williams (8553) , daughter of Gov. Roger Williams (2359) (21 Dec 1603-1682/3) & Mary Barnard (ca 1609-aft 1683). Born in Aug 1633 in Plymouth, MA.⁵ Mary died in 1681 in Middletown, RI.
