“Thomas had lands in Little Compton 1674, but he did not remove. He kept a ‘trader’s shop’ 60 rods south of Stockbridge’s mill.”6

On 8 Feb 1666[/7] Thomas married Deborah Damon (6314) , daughter of John Damon (11 Nov 1621-bef 3 Oct 1676) & Katherine Merritt (1730) (1621-8 Dec 1655), in Scituate, MA.116 Born on 25 Apr 1645 in Scituate, MA.3 Deborah died aft 13 Feb 1718/9.

From Jeanette Behan's book, The Woodworth Family of America: re Sarah Woodworth: "She was living in 1686, it has been suggested she reputedly married Thomas Mann, son of Richard Mann, b. Scituate 15 Aug 1650. However, Thomas Mann settled at Rehoboth, Mass., where his 1st wife Rachel and infant son Josiah d. at 1676. He ma (2) 1678 in Rehoboth, Mary Wheaton and had 8 or 9 more children up to 1697 or 1699 (per Barbara Cruchon material)"

Sarah was apparently married by 26 November 1685 (father's will).5

2420. Joseph Woodworth. Born ca 1645 in Scituate, MA. Joseph died in 1712/8 in prob. Scituate, MA.104 Occupation: shop keeper.6

On 6 Jan 1669[/70] Joseph married Sarah Stockbridge (2132) , daughter of John Stockbridge (592) (ca 1608-13 Oct 1657) & Elizabeth Hatch (5037) (ca 1605-between 1647 & 1654), in Scituate, MA.116 Born ca 1645 in Scituate, MA. Sarah was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 15 Mar 1645/6.116 Sarah died aft 3 Dec 1712.104

2421. Elizabeth Woodworth. Born ca 1648 in Scituate, MA. Elizabeth died in 1709 in Duxbury, MA.

Elizabeth was apparently married by 26 Nov 1685 (father's will).5

She did not marry Robert Stetson (7613) , son of Cornet Robert Stetson (2127) (ca 1615-1 Feb 1702/3) & Honor Tooker (ca 1612-1684). Born on 29 Jan 1654 in Scituate, MA.3 At the age of <1, Robert was baptized on 26 Feb 1654.2 Robert died aft 1737.

Robert lived in that part which became Pembroke.2

2422. Mary Woodworth. Born on 10 Mar 1650/1 in Scituate, MA.116 Mary died in Scituate, MA, on 23 Aug 1718; she was 67.

On 24 Dec 1677 when Mary was 26, she married Aaron Simmons, son of Moses Simonson (ca 1605-ca 1689/1691) & Sarah [Simonson] (-bef 15 Dec 1691), in Scituate, MA.116 Born say 1653 in Duxbury, MA. Aaron died bef 12 Feb 1719.

Aaron and Mary lived at the Green field.6

2423. Benjamin Woodworth. Born ca 1656 in Scituate, MA. Benjamin died on 22 Apr 1728 in Lebanon, CT.117

There is some confusion about Benjamin. According to some, he was a soldier in Philip’s war and lost his life.6 2 In fact, he had removed to Little Compton.

In 1703 Benjamin bought for 250 pounds from Philip Smith a large tract of land in Lebanon, Ct. where many of the Scituate people settled. He moved soon after to Lebanon with his family; was admitted inhabitant Dec. 22, 1704. In deeds of lands at Lebanon he is described as Benjamin Woodworth of Little Compton, RI.117

ca 1680 Benjamin first married Deborah [Woodworth].5

ca 1686 Isaac married Lydia Standlake (7600) , daughter of Richard Standlake (2122) (ca 1636/1639-14 May 1691). Born on 7 Apr 1664 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of 18, Lydia was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 25 Jun 1682.116

In Jun 1679 Martha married Lieut. Zachary Damon (6319) , son of John Damon (11 Nov 1621-bef 3 Oct 1676) & Katherine Merritt (1730) (1621-8 Dec 1655), in Scituate, MA.116 Born ca 1654 in Scituate, MA.6 Zachary died on 3 Sep 1730 in Scituate, MA.116

Zachary was an officer in Phililp’s war, and received lands.6

He was also a Cowhasset Partner. He was a Lieutenant in King Phillips War. Tythingman 1703/4. On March 2, 1696/7 he was granted 3 acres swamp land by Scituate Town agents (Town Records). Surveyor of Highways 1702/3 - 1716. Admitted to 1st Church Scituate July 7, 1727 as "Zechariah". On "Jury of Tralls" at Plymouth 1698/9, 1701/2, 1706, 1710/11. On Grand Jury 1711/12. Resided at Scituate, north of Symon's Hill. In 1694, his mark was "on Red mare two notches in the neare ear whitt on all fouer legs. His wife as admitted to the 1st Church May 7, 1721.

Mehitable “who was unfortunate with regard to her health,”6 and “suffered from witchcraft.”2 (See PCR 5:223.) She was not married at the time of her father’s will, 26 Nov 1685.5

On 24 Dec 1695 Abigail married John Jackson (23033) , son of Abraham Jackson (-4 Oct 1714) & Remember Morton (10832) (ca 1637-24 Jul 1707), in Scituate, MA.85 Born ca 1664.
