ca 1666 Abigail first married Lieut. James Fowle (1255) , son of George Fowle (436) (ca 1610-19 Sep 1682) & Mary Smith (ca 1614-15 Feb 1677). Born on 12th 1st m. 1642 [Mar 1642/3] in Concord, MA.50 James died in Woburn, MA, on 17 Dec 1690; he was 47.35 Buried in First Burial Ground of Woburn.149 “Here lyes the body of Lieutenant James Fowle, aged 49 years, died ye 17th day of December, 1690”. Occupation: cordwainer.

James, of Woburn, freeman 1668.2 He was constable of Woburn in 1672.

Maria, a negro servant to James Fowle (or his son James), died 9 Jan 1687 at Woburn.35

Samuel died in Woburn, MA, on 18 Jan 1703/4; he was 60.35 Buried in First Burial Ground of Woburn.149 “Here lyes ye body of Deacon Samuel Walker, aged 61 years, died January ye 18th, 1703”.

Samuel was freeman 1674, representative 1689, and deacon.2

On 3 Apr 1706 when Abigail was 57, she third married Dea. Samuel Stone, son of Dea. Gregory Stone (ca Apr 1592-30 Nov 1672) & Lydia Fiske (ca 1595-24 Jun 1674). Born ca Feb 1630/1 in Nayland, Suffolk. Samuel was baptized in Nayland, Suffolk, on 4 Feb 1630/1. Samuel died on 27 Sep 1715 in Lexington, MA.

Samuel first married Sarah Stearns, second Abigail (Carter) (Fowle) Walker.

3389. Hannah Carter. Born on 19 Jan 1651 in Woburn, MA.35 Hannah died aft 26 Sep 1706.

On 1 Jan 1668 when Hannah was 16, she married Maj. James Converse (6107) , son of Lieut. James Converse (ca 1621-10 May 1715) & Anna Long (1666) (ca 1623-10 Aug 1691), in Woburn, MA.35 Born on 16 Nov 1645 in Woburn, MA.35 James died in Woburn, MA, on 8 Jul 1706; he was 60.151 Buried in First Burial Ground of Woburn.149 “Here lyes buried ye body of Major James Convers, Esq., aged 61 years, who departed this life, July ye 8th, 1706”.

Vinton’s summary:145 “Major James Convers ... was an officer of distinguished reputation in the perilous war with the Indians of Maine, which began in 1688 and ended in 1697.  Hid vigorous and successful defence of Storer's  garrison in Wells, June 1692, is well Remembered.  The attack on that garrison was made by Madokawando. Chief of the Penobscot tribe, assisted by Moxus, Egeremet, and other Indian chiefs, joined by a body of French Soldiers.  The united strength of the hostile force was computed at five hundred men, while Convers had but fifteen in the garrisons, besides as many more in some sloops in the river.  The enemy exerted their utmost strength during two days, but were compelled to retire with loss, including a French officer of rank.  Convers lost but one man who had ventured outside the garrison, was caught by indians and shockingly tortured.  [Drakes Book of the Indians, p.291.
