Roger arrived in the Mary and John 1630 and lived at Dorchester, MA. He was author of Memoirs; Lt. in the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company 1655; deputy from Dorchester 1647-1671.

On 6 Nov 1633 when Roger was 24, he married Joan Ford (4440) , daughter of Thomas Ford (1227) (ca 1589-28 Nov 1676) & Elizabeth Charde (1589-16 Apr 1643), in Dorchester, MA.5 Born ca 1617 in England. Joan was baptized in Bridport, Dorset, Eng., on 8 Jun 1617.5 Joan died in Jun 1695 in Boston, MA.5

Nicholas came to New England with his brother Thomas in 1633; m. first his cousin Sarah Clapp; m. second, Abigail, widow of Robert Sharp.279 (Okay, who was it who married Abby? Thomas, or Nicholas?)
