On 22 Oct 1663 David first married Mehitabel Gunn, daughter of Thomas Gunn (-26 Feb 1680/1), in Hartford, CT.12 Born on 28 Jul 1644 in Windsor, CT.144 Mehitabel died on 30 Jan 1720; she was 75. They were divorced in Oct 1682.

ii. James Ensign, m. 1st Lydia Baker, m. 2nd Anna;

David second married Sarah Wilcox, daughter of John Wilcox (13 Jan 1622-24 May 1676) & Sarah Wadsworth (ca 1626-ca 1649). Born on 3 Oct 1648 in Hartford, CT. Sarah died in Hartford, CT, on 3 Feb 1717/8; she was 69.
Sarah divorced her first husband Thomas Long.12
