The Rev. Hugh Adams records: “Bapt. 17 Feb. 1716/7, Abraham Bennick, Sarah his wife, Sarah and Ruth their adult daus., Abraham, Benjamin and Eleazer their sons in nonage.” Abraham had a grant of land 19 mar 1693/4. He was Lieutenant in command of volumteers at Oyster River in 1724, selectman in 1717.41

ca 1700 Abraham married Sarah Chesley (3426) , daughter of Thomas Chesley (961) (ca 1644-15 Nov 1697) & Elizabeth Thomas (ca 1646-aft 23 Jun 1701), in Durham, NH. Born ca 1679 in Durham, NH. Sarah died aft 1722.41

On 22 Feb 1691/2 Ruth married Capt. Francis Mathews, son of Capt. Benjamin Mathews (ca 1630-ca 1710) & Dorothy Hull (ca 1632-), in Durham, NH.41 Born ca 1670. Francis died ca 1755 in Durham, NH.

Francis was captain in the militia, selectman of Durham for 20 years.
