John Gager, Mary Gore, and Hannah Gore, who married Stephen Gifford, were children of Samuel Gorare and Elizabeth Hill of Rotherhithe in London.

On 1 May 1667 when Hannah was 20, she married Stephen Gifford in Norwich, CT. Born ca 1641. Stephen died on 27 Nov 1724 in Norwich, CT.2

Stephen was an original proprietor of Norwich, 1660.2

Stephen was not the son of William Gifford of Sandwich.

Stephen’s will was dated 27 Mar 1718, proved 20 Dec 1724.
