Anthony Eames (1152) (ca 1592-aft 28 Jun 1670) & Margery Pierce (ca Nov 1599-31 Dec 1662), in Marshfield, MA.20 “Justice Eames & Mehetabell Chillingworth were maryed y^e 2^ond of may 1661”. Born ca 1627 in Fordington, Dorset. Justus was baptized in Fordington, St. George, Dorset, on 29 Apr 1627.12 Justus died bef 1706 in Marshfield, MA.

Justice’s will was signed 7 Mar 1697 and probated 30 May 1706.

Sarah Chillingsworth did not marry John Dingley of Marshfield.54

ca 1666 Sarah married Sergt. Samuel Sprague (12822) , son of William Sprague (7594) (ca 1611-26 Oct 1675) & Millicent Eames (4199) (ca 1617-8 Feb 1695/6). Born ca 1640 in HIngham, MA. Samuel was baptized in Hingham, MA, on 24 May 1640.5 Samuel died ca 1709 in Marshfield, MA.

Samuel “moved from Hingham to Marshfield in 1663 and was town treasurer there in 1665. He may have gone there to live with his uncle, Anthony Eames, who setted in Marshfield as early as 1652. Sprague became a leading citizen; was highway surveyor in 1663; was deputy to the general court nearly every year between 1680 and 1704; was selectman in 1677-81-86-87-94-95-97 to 1706 and 1709-10. He held one or more public offices every year except four after he came to marshfield. He was sergeant in 1686 and afterward. In June, 1686, he was elected secretary of the general court and recorder of the court of assistants and served until the union of the Plymouth and Massachusetts Bay colonies in 1692, except during the Andros regime. He was the last secretary of the Plymouth colony. Part of his duties was to act as register of deeds and wills. He was elected to office sixty-three times. He married, 1665-66, Sarah Chillingworth and went to live on the Chillinworth estate on teh north side of the South river.”39

ca 1663 Mary married Dea. John Foster, son of Thomas Foster (ca 1612-20 Apr 1682) & Elizabeth [Foster] (-29 Jan 1694/5).7 Born on 7 Oct 1642 in Weymouth, MA.87 John died in Marshfield, MA, on 3 Jun 1732; he was 89.7 Occupation: blacksmith.

John and Mary lived in Marshfield.7
