Cornelius’ will was dated April 18, 1734, was signed January 21, 1734/5, and was proved August 12, 1740. It mentions his wife, Sarah, and daughters Rebecca Meeker, Elizabeth Burr, Martha Sherwood, Eleanor Pherrey; granddaughter Sarah Sanford; and sons George, Nathaniel, John, and Cornelius.
Cornelius married Sarah Sanford, daughter of Ezekiel Sanford (ca 1638-5 Oct 1683) & Rebecca Whelpley. Born on 25 Mar 1666 in Fairfield, CT.336 Sarah died in 1753 in Fairfield, CT.16
Sarah’s will was dated January 16, 1743/4, and was proved June 25, 1753. It mentions sons George, Nathaniel, Cornelius, and Ebenezer; granddaughter Sarah Sanford; daughter Martha; children of John daughters Rebecca, Elizabeth, Martha, Eleanor; and as executors: Capt. Moses Dimon, Jr. and my son Daniel Sherwood.
