John was freeman 1690.2

On 5 Jun 1666 when John was 24, he married Elizabeth Larkin, daughter of Edward Larkin (ca 1615-2 Jun 1652) & Joanna Butler (ca 1616-27 Jan 1686), in Charlestown, MA.81 John Newton & Elizab. James was one of the early proprietors of Marlboro, although not of the first comers.169

From the will of Elizabeth’s father, Richard Newton: “unto each of my two daughters, namely Elizabeth Dingley, sen^r ... I bequeath Two Shillings, and no more, because I ahve given a portion to each already, these shillings shall be paid ... within Two months after my decease.”169

ca 1666 Elizabeth married Jacob Dingley (1122) , son of John Dingley (414) (ca 1610-bef 13 Mar 1689/90).54 Born ca 1642 in Sandwich or Marshfield, MA.54 Jacob died on 18 Aug 1691 in Marshfield, MA.20
