6770. Joseph Peirce. Born ca 1647 in Watertown, MA. Joseph died bef 22 Dec 1713 in Watertown, MA.

Joseph inherited his father's homestall in Watertown and was admitted freeman 18 Apr 1690. His widow and son Jacob of Weston, Massachusetts, "admitted to administer estate of Joseph Peirce, late of Watertown, deceased, intestate" on 22 Dec 1713.

Joseph first married Martha [Peirce]. Martha died bef Jun 1698 in Watertown, MA.

Martha’s surname is often given as Brayton, and a marriage date of 15 Jun 1668. Furthermore, it has been claimed that her parents are Francis and Mary Brayton of Portsmouth, RI. It is more likely that Martha Brayton, dau. of Francis and Mary Brayton, married John Pearce of Prudence Island.
