He emigrated to New England with his father to Wethersfield, and was one of the first settlers of Milford in 1639.70

Robert’s will was dated 25 Jul 1654/5, proved 17 Dec 1655 at Milford.70

On 9 Jan 1642 Robert married Mary Baldwin (3149) , daughter of Sylvester Baldwin (2548) (ca 1600-21 Jun 1638) & Sarah Bryan (880) (ca 1602-1669), in Milford, CT.76 Born ca 1625/6 in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire. Mary was baptized in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, on 19 Feb 1625/6.10 Mary died on 1 Feb 1707 in Milford, CT.68

John Lyman (6195) , son of Richard Lyman (1689) (ca 1580-between 22 Apr 1640 adn 3 Mar 1640/1) & Sarah [Lyman] (-Jan 1642), in Branford, CT.70 Born ca Sep 1623 in High Ongar, Essex. John was baptized in High Ongar, Essex, on 16 Sep 1623. John died on 20 Aug 1690 in Northampton, MA.2

John came on the Lion with his father. After the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth, John and Dorcas removed ot Northampton.2 John was in command of the Northampton soldiers in the Falls fight above Deerfield, 18 May 1676. The American House, which was burned about 1870, stood in fronto f his house lot.39
