7912. John Tuttle. Born ca 1631 in Ringstead, Northamptonshire.30 John was baptized in Ringstead, Northamptonshire, on 8 Dec 1631.4 John died on 12 Nov 1683.30

John received a house and lot in East Haven from his father by a deed of 1661. He sold it next year to John Potter, blacksmith, and about the same time sold to the widow of WIlliam Ludington land at Stony River, which was a part of his patrimony. AT court in New Haven 23 Nov 1662 John Tuttle requested that he might have liberty to purchase some land of the Indians beyond Chestnut Hill.258

On 8 Nov 1653 John married Katharine Lane, daughter of John Lane (-Sep 1669) & Sarah [Lane], in New Haven, CT.74 Born say 1632 in Milford, CT.

In 1649 Hannah first married John Pantry, son of William Pantry (-Nov 1649) & Margaret Wilbourne (-aft 12 Sep 1651), in New Haven, CT.258 Born ca 1629.258 John died between 1 Sep 1653 and 25 Nov 1653 in Hartford, CT.4

Thomas died from the fall of a cherry tree.258

7916. David Tuttle. Born ca 1639 in Boston, MA. David was baptized in Boston, MA, on 7 Apr 1639.4 David died in 1693 in New Haven, CT.30

In 1659 David was complained of in New Haven for not carrying arms. He settled at Wallingford where, in 1685, he had lot number 16 on the east side of main St. During the latter years of his life he was an invalid, and was cared for by his brother Thomas, in pursuance of an agreement by which, as consideration, David conveyed to Thomas his whole estate which included, besides other property, two acres in the Governor’s quarter, and four acres in the Neck. He died unmarried in 1698.258

Joseph and Hannah married the same day as his sister Mercy married Samuel Brown.

On 2 May 1667 Joseph married Hannah Munson, daughter of Capt. Thomas Munson (-7 Dec 1675/6) & Joanna [Munson] (ca 1611-13 Dec 1678), in New Haven, CT.74 Born ca 1648 in New Haven, CT. Hannah was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 11 Jun 1648.30 Hannah died on 30 Nov 1695 in Guilford, CT.30

Sarah was killed by her brother Benjamin.30

On 17 Nov 1663 Sarah married John Slason, son of George Slason (-17 Feb 1695), in New Haven, CT.74 Born on 14 May 1641 in Sandwich, MA. John died in Stamford, CT, on 16 Oct 1706; he was 65.4

7919. Elizabeth Tuttle. Born ca 1645 in New Haven, CT. Elizabeth was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 9 Nov 1645.30

Elizabeth had a child, Mary, born 1668 after marriage and never acknowledged by her husband, of whose paternity Joseph Preston was accused. Jacobus lists her as insane.30

On 19 Nov 1667 Elizabeth married Richard Edwards, son of William Edwards (ca 1618-aft 1680) & Agnes Harris (-aft 1680), in New Haven, CT.74 Born on 1 May 1647 in Hartford, CT.4 Richard died in Hartford, CT, on 20 Apr 1718; he was 70.4 They were divorced in 1691.30

Richard, of Hartford, had He was a very valu. cit. and d. 20 May 1713 acc. Geneal. Reg. XII. 334, while fam. tradit. gives 20 Apr. 1718, when Timothy, Abigail, Elizabeth Ann, and Mabel, ch. of the first w. beside three s. and one d. of the sec. were liv. Daniel, a judge of the Sup. Court of Conn. d. 6 Sept. 1765.2

Simon married Abigail [Tuttle]. Abigail died in Aug 1722 in Wallingford, CT.31

Abigail was not Abigail Beach.30

7921. Benjamin Tuttle. Born ca 1648 in New Haven, CT. Benjamin was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 29 Oct 1648.30 Benjamin died on 13 Jun 1677 in New Haven, CT.30 He died unmarried.

Benjamin was executed for the murder of his sister Sarah.30

7922. Mercy Tuttle. Born on 27 Apr 1650 in New Haven, CT.74 At the age of <1, Mercy was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 19 May 1650.30 Mercy died aft 1695.30

Mercy was insane and murdered her child 1691.74

On 2 May 1667 when Mercy was 17, she married Samuel Brown (848) , son of Francis Brown (362) (ca 1610-ca 1668) & Mary Edwards (-7 Dec 1693), in New Haven, CT.74 Born ca 1644/5 in New Haven, CT. Samuel was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 7 Aug 1645.30 Samuel died on 4 Nov 1691 in Wallingford, CT.31

On 10 Aug 1682 when Nathaniel was 30, he married Sarah How, daughter of Ephraim How (1625-8 Sep 1680) & Ann Hough (1630-1712), in New Haven, CT.74 Born on 25 Jan 1654 in New Haven, CT.74 At the age of 38, Sarah was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 7 Aug 1692.30 Sarah died in Nov 1743 in Woodbury, CT.367
