Thomas was freeman 1690. His home was at the village then called New Cambridge, afterwards Newton.2

John was admitted freeman 1690. He was selectman for several years, and representative for many years.2

John was a representative in the General Court for 15 years, including the interim between the deposition of Gov. Andros and the operation of the new charter, and served as a delegate to the Council for the Safety of the People and Conservation of the Peace, 9 and 22 May, and 5 Jun 1689. His will directed that upon the death of his widow allhis eatate—housing, lands, and a fourth interest in the grist-mill—should go to his son-in-law William Trowbridge.185

On 30 Nov 1681 when John was 23, he married Mary Spring, daughter of Lieut. John Spring (ca 1630-18 May 1717) & Hannah Barsham (7 Jan 1637/8-18 Aug 1710), in Newton, MA.61 Born on 10 Jun 1659 in Watertown, MA.185 Mary died in Newton, MA, on 20 Apr 1731; she was 71.61 Buried in Newton, MA GR1.

Joshua married three times: first Elizabeth Ward, then a second, perhaps Abigail, then Mary Dana.

From the Ward Genealogy:185 “Joshua Fuller was a well-to-do landowner and a man of strong character. In addition to his own four daughters, he brought up ten boys—grandchildren and other relatives. He married a second time, at the age of eighty-eight, May Dana of Cambridge, herself seventy-five years old, and lived to celebrate his ninety-eighth birthday. Twenty-two of the descemlants of his branch of the Fuller family joined the armies of the Revolution from Newton.”

John and Deborah resided on the southeasterly side of Fresh Pond, near Mount Auburn.185

William was a selectman in Newton 1707, 1712, and 1722, moving later to Roxbury, then to Waltham in 1737.185

On 31 Dec 1689 when William was 25, he married Abigail Spring, daughter of Lieut. John Spring (ca 1630-18 May 1717) & Hannah Barsham (7 Jan 1637/8-18 Aug 1710), in Newton, MA.61 Born on 20 Feb 1666/7 in Watertown, MA. Abigail died in Waltham, MA, on 29 May 1742; she was 75.

Abigail first married John Spring, second married William Ward.

RIchard and Thankful occupied the “Trowbridge Homestead,” purchased by James Trowbridge from Deputy-Governor Danforth in 1675. He served as selectman and deacon, and for nine years as representative in the General Court.185

On 15 Dec 1690 when Richard was 24, he married Thankful Trowbridge, daughter of Dea. James Trowbridge (ca 1636-22 May 1717) & Margaret Atherton (30 Apr 1638-17 Aug 1672), in Newton, MA.61 Born on 4 Mar 1668 in Cambridge, MA.185 Thankful died in Newton, MA, on 17 Sep 1742; she was 74.61 Buried in Newton, MA GR1.

8247. Eleazer Ward. Born on 26 Feb 1672 in Newton, MA.61 Eleazer died in Oxford, MA, on 18 Jan 1751; he was 78.185

Eleazer was selectman of Newton in 1734. He later removed to Oxford, MA.2

Eleazer served many years in the Indian wars and was in the Port Royal expedition, receiving for his services a grant of land in the South Gore. Up to 1736 he was a resident of Newton, and was one of the town’s selectmen for four years. In 1736, then 64 years of age, he bought the Elliot grist-mill at Oxford and moved there. He was town clerk of Oxford from 1739 to 1746, and became a man of influence in the township.185

ca 1707 Eleazer married Deliverance Trowbridge (15568) , daughter of Dea. James Trowbridge (ca 1636-22 May 1717) & Margaret Jackson (5707) (20 Jun 1649-16 Sep 1727). Born on 30 Dec 1679 in Cambridge, MA.185

Only four of Jonathan Ward’s children were living at the final settlement of his estate in 1728. In the distribution of his real estate, the widow had her thirds set off. Nehemiah, the oldest son, had a double portion, or two shares; Remember, Ebenezer, and Ichabod, one share each.185
