Benjamin was freeman 6 Jun 1654.121 He was constable of Duxbury in 1662, selectman frequently from 1666 until his death, collector of excise 1664, and representative to the General Court 1685.207

In by 1654 Benjamin first married Susanna Jenny, daughter of John Jenny (ca 1589-1643/4) & Sarah Carey (ca 1590-).5 Born ca 1629/1634 in Plymouth, MA. Susanna died bef 18 Aug 1655 in Plymouth, MA.121

ca 1656 Benjamin second married Sarah Brewster (3531) , daughter of Love Brewster (2967) (ca 1611-31 Jan 1650) & Sarah Collier (1000) (ca 1616-26 Apr 1691), in Duxbury, MA.207 Born ca 1635 in Plymouth, MA.255 Sarah died aft 1670 in Duxbury, MA.

One or more of Benjamin’s children–Ebenezer, Sarah, and Ichabod–may be the children of his third wife Cicily rathern then of Sarah.121

bef 31 jan 1678 Benjamin third married Cicily [Bartlett].121 Cicily died aft 1 Sep 1691.121

Cicily, or Sissila, perhaps Freeman, Covel, or Nickerson. She may have been the mother of one or more of Benjamin’s children: Ebenezer, Sarah, and Ichabod.121

On 20 Dec 1649 Rebecca married Sergeant William Harlow in Plymouth, MA.3 Born ca 1624 in prob. England.121 William died on 25 Aug 1691 in Plymouth, MA.26 Occupation: cooper.

William appeared as a young man in Lynn, MA, in 1637, then moved to Sandwich and later to Plymouth. He was sworn a freeman 6 Jun 1654 and served in the military.

On 2 Feb 1657/8, Jonathan Morey (Mary’s second husband) was warned not to frequent the house of Richard Foster (her first husband) in his absence.121

On 10 Sep 1651 Mary first married Richard Foster in Plymouth, MA.3 Born in prob. England.121 Richard died in 1658/59.255

Richard, of Plymouth, served against the Narragansetts from 15 Aug 1645.

Joseph was laid under admonition by the Plymouth church 20 Aug 1785 for having ‘wickedly scandalized the Pastor.’ [Plym. Ch. Rec., 1:257]

On 26 Dec 1661 Elizabeth married Anthony Sprague (12820) , son of William Sprague (7594) (ca 1611-26 Oct 1675) & Millicent Eames (4199) (ca 1617-8 Feb 1695/6), in Plymouth, MA.3 Born on 2 Sep 1635 in Charlestown, MA.317 At the age of <1, Anthony was baptized in Charlestown, MA, on 23 May 1636.255 Anthony died in Hingham, MA, on 3 Dec 1719; he was 84.255 Occupation: yeoman.

Anthony, of Hingham. His house, along with five others, was burned 20 Apr 1676 by the Indians in Philip’s war.2 He was selctman in 1688, 1692, and 1700, resided on paternal homestead, Hingham Center.317

John was one of the propietors of Middleborough.

On 25 Dec 1668 when Mercy was 17, she married John Joy, son of Thomas Joy (ca 1611-21 Oct 1678) & Joan Gallop (ca 1618-12 Mar 1690/1), in Plymouth, MA.5,3 Born on 10 Oct 1641 in Boston, MA.33 John died bef 1678 in Boston, MA.

John, of Boston. (Joy, not Ivey).5

John may have been the one born 10 Oct 1641 in Boston, the son of Thomas and Joan (Gallop) Joy, and if so, he died before Thomas Joy wrote his will 8 Jul 1677.121
