8333. Abigail Little. Born ca 1635 in Plymouth, MA. Abigail died bef 1660 in prob Marshfield.121

ca 1656 Abigail married Josiah Keen, son of John Keen (ca 1578-14 Nov 1649) & Martha [Keen] (-ca 1738).24 Born in London, England. Josiah died bef 15 Sep 1710 in prob. Duxbury.121

Apparently this is the Josias Keene who came on the Confidence in 1638 with his mother Martha Keen. See TAG 63:122 for comments on his pruported father.121

In 1666 Josias was elected surveror of highways for Marshfield, and in 1667 constable for Marshfield. He moved to Duxbury some time later. On 12 Sep 1707 Josiah Kein Sr. and four of his sons shared in the division of the commons in Duxbury.121

8334. Patience Little. Born ca 1637 in Marshfield, MA. Patience died on 25 Oct 1723 in Hingham, MA.33

(The Weymouth Vital Records incorrectly says Patience Little was the daughter of Thomas of Cambridge.121)

On 11 Nov 1657 Patience married Joseph Jones (5798) , son of Robert Jones (1576) (ca 1596-17 Nov 1691) & Margaret Garnford (ca 1602-), in Weymouth, MA.33 Born ca 1628 in Caversham, Oxfordshire. Joseph was baptized in Caversham on 30 Nov 1628.77 Joseph died on 18 Jul 1714 in Hingham, MA.33 Occupation: husbandman.

“The house of Joseph was ‘over the river,’ that is, towards mount Blue. It was burnt by the Indians 1676.”6

Joseph was selectman 1691 and 1707, and resided ‘over the river.’33

8336. Hannah Little. Born ca 1641.5 Hannah died on 13 May 1710 in Scituate, MA.24

On 15 Jan 1661[/2] Hannah married Stephen Tilden (14240) , son of Elder Nathaniel Tilden (7748) (1583-25 May 1641) & Lydia Huckstepp (5022) (ca 1587/8-31 Jul 1672), in Scituate, MA.85,3 Born ca Oct 1629 in Tenterden, Kent. Stephen was baptized in St. Mildred's, Tenterden, on 11 Oct 1629. Stephen died on 22 Aug 1711 in Scituate, MA.116

Stephen came in the Hercules with his family in 1635 from Sandwich, Kent. Stephen took the oath of fidelity in Scituate in 1657. Stephen and Joseph Tilden, probably his brother, petitioned the Plymouth court June 7, 1653 to lay out a way for them "unto the island commonly called Hatch's Island, and unto the island called Cooper's Island."

8341. Samuel Little. Born ca 1656 in Marshfield, MA.5 Samuel died on 16 Jan 1707 in Bristol, MA (now RI).24 Occupation: joiner.

Samuel was ‘of Marshfield’ as late as 23 Apr 1698 when he sold land to Daniel Howland, but moved to Bristol shortly after that date, for on 6 Dec 1699, Samuel Little late of Marshfield, now of Bristol, joyner, sold land to Christopher Allmy Jr.121

On 18 May 1682 Samuel first married Sarah Gray (11052) , daughter of Dr. Edward Gray (ca 1629-30 Jun 1681) & Mary Winslow (3442) (ca 1632-1663/5), in Marshfield, MA.20 “Samuel Little & Sarah Gray were Married before Mr Alden May 18^th 1682”. Born on 12 Aug 1659 in Plymouth, MA.3 Sarah died in Bristol, MA (now RI), on 14 Feb 1736/7; she was 77.121
