Francis served as Lieutenant in Middleton Train Band in 1691 and 1699.246

On 8 Feb 1674 when Francis was 23, he married Hannah Harris, daughter of William Harris (say 1620-17 May 1714) & Edith [Harris] (ca 1620-5 Aug 1685), in Middletown, CT.246 Born on 1 Mar 1644/5 in Rowley, MA. Hannah died in Middletown, CT, on 3 Aug 1722; she was 77.

“John was one of the earliest settlers of Medford. He was known as a public spirited man. Was largely interested in real estate, owning much valuable land in Medford, Billerica and Johnstown. An old record states that on December 24, 1680, he, with John Hall, Stephen Willis and Stephen Francis, divided among them what is known as the College Farm. Before this Caleb Hobart had sold one-fourth of his estate to John Whitmore. He served in the Indian campaign at Sacco, Me., under major Swayne. His position was one of influence both in religious and civic affairs. He was Deacon of the First Parish Church, and Town Treasurer.”246

ca 1677 John first married Rachel Eliot, daughter of Dea. Francis Eliot (ca 1615-23 Oct 1677) & Mary Saunders (ca 1619-17 Jan 1697/8). Born on 25 Oct 1643 in Braintree, MA.2 Rachel died in Medford, MA, on 30 Mar 1723; she was 79.246

8516. Samuel Whitmore. Born on 1 May 1658 in Cambridge, MA.23 Samuel died in Lexington, MA, on 22 May 1724; he was 66.246 Occupation: tailor.

Samuel lived in Lexington, probably in his father’s house which was on the boundary line between Lexington and Cambridge.246

On 31 Mar 1686 when Samuel was 27, he first married Rebecca Gardner, daughter of Richard Gardner (ca 1622-29 May 1698) & Anna Rolfe (ca 1626-), in Cambridge, MA.23 Born on 26 Mar 1666 in Cambridge, MA. Rebecca died in Lexington, MA, on 5 Jun 1709; she was 43.246
