On 14 Jan 1730 when Sarah was 41, she second married Joseph Briggs (10128) , son of Ens. Cornelius Briggs (2995) (1647-20 Oct 1694) & Mary Doughty (7882) (23 Jun 1650-1680/83), in First Parish Church, Scituate.85 Born on 29 Apr 1679 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of <1, Joseph was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 20 Apr 1679.193 Joseph died in Scituate, MA, on 26 Jan 1747/8; he was 68. Occupation: shipwright, yoeman, farmer.

Joseph was known as Joseph Briggs, Jr., to distinguish him from his cousin Joseph, son of Lt. James. Joseph Jr. lived in the Walter Briggs homestead at Conihassett, which he purchased from his cousin, John Briggs, Jr., when the latter removed to Boston.7

Two Mile, Pembroke.

The will of Isaac Hatch of Pembroke, dated 11 Dec 1756, proved 3 Dec 1759, names wife Penelope, sons Isaac, Seth, Josiah, and Samuel Hatch, father Samuel Hatch deceased, daughters Penelope Hatch, Lydia Hatch, Sary Hatch, and Mary Hatch wife of Israel Hatch Jr.262
