Philip settled in Westminster in 1738, being the third permanent settler in that town. He had probably previously lived at Cambridge. In 1740 he sold his rights in his father’s estate to his brother Joseph and sister mary of Cambridge.39
Cutter’s39 dates for the birth of Philip, ca 1700, and the death of his father Joseph, 1684, are contradictory.
On 21 Nov 1723 when Philip was 23, he married Elizabeth Lawrence (11814) , daughter of George Lawrence (3769) (4 Jun 1668-5 Mar 1735/6) & Mary [Lawrence], in Cambridge, MA. Born on 9 Oct 1700 in Watertown, MA.11 Elizabeth died aft 1782.
