From Allen H. Bent’s article “The Bent Family”:124
    “Experience Bent was of Sudbury in 1690, bought house and land in Plymouth in 1701, sold it in 1708, when he was of Middleboro, and in 1712 bought land in Plympton adjoining his Middleboro property. As a young man he is alluded to as a house carpenter, but later in life as a yeoman.”

On 26 Aug 1703 Experience married Abigail Sampson, daughter of George Sampson (ca 1655-26 Jul 1739) & Elizabeth Sprague (ca 1657-27 May 1727), in Plymouth, MA. Born on 22 Jan 1680/1 in Plymouth, MA.211 Abigail died in Middleboro, MA, on 15 Oct 1726; she was 45.

On 31 Oct 1701 Elizabeth married Thomas Joyce (16401) , son of Walter Joyce (ca 1645/1650-ca 1713) & Elizabeth Low (6183) (ca 1652/1659-), in Marshfield, MA.20 “Thomas Joyce and Elizabeth Bent were Married October the 31 : 1701 by Mr Edward Tompson”. Born on 19 Apr 1679 in Marshfield, MA.20 At the age of 19, Thomas was baptized in Marshfield, MA, on 21 Aug 1698. Thomas died aft Jan 1755 in Marshfield, MA.

Will: Will written 26 Sep 1744, gives equal cash and movable estate to "my three dau. Abigail Lapham, Lydia Joyce & Naomy Joyce"; while Lydia and Naomy unmarried, to have use of westerly end of dwelling house, use of "sellar", apples from trees, a cow and a swine; with that reservation, all housing and lands in Marshfield to sole excr, son John. Wit. James, Hannah, James Jr. Sprague. Probated Jan.25, 1755. Settlement to Joseph Lapham Jr. and Abigail, Timothy and Lydia Silvester, Naomi Joyce from excr. John Joyce on Mar. 24, 1755; estate 130 pds.

9486. Joseph Bent. Born on 5 Mar 1674/5 in Sudbury, MA.80 Joseph died in Milton, MA, on 31 Mar 1728; he was 53.124 Buried in Old Cemetery, Milton. Occupation: blacksmith.

Joseph was brought up in Marshfield, first by his grandfather John bourne, and afterward by John Man, who was appointed his guardian in 1686. Later he resided at Milton.124

On 27 Oct 1698 when Joseph was 23, he married Rachel Fuller, daughter of Jonathan Fuller (15 Jun 1643-6 May 1724) & Mary [Fuller], in Milton, MA.124 Born on 3 Dec 1673 in Dedham, MA. Rachel died in Milton, MA, on 5 Jul 1725; she was 51.124 Buried in Old Cemetery, Milton.
