9876. John Bradford. Born on 29 Dec 1675 in Plymouth, MA.26 John died in Kingston, MA, on 27 Mar 1724; he was 48.134 Buried in Anc. Burial Ground, Kingston.

John resided in Plymouth, later Kingston. He inherited property from his grandfather’s estate.131

Will: The will of John Bradford Jr. of Plymouth, undated, names his wife Rebecca and children Robert and Rebecca. On 28 April 1724 witnesses swore they had seen John sign the will the "later end of March last."

On 27 Nov 1701 when John was 25, he married Rebecca Bartlett (17458) , daughter of Benjamin Bartlett (11263) (prob 27 Jun 1658-bet 10 Dec 1717 and 10 Apr 1724) & Ruth Pabodie (6745) (27 Jun 1658-bet 25 Apr 1724 and 27 Mar 1725), in Plymouth, MA.26 Born ca 1684 in Duxbury, MA. Rebecca died on 8 Dec 1763 in Kingston, MA.

9877. Alice Bradford. Born on 28 Jan 1677 in Plymouth, MA.26 Alice died in Hingham, MA, on 14 Jul 1746; she was 69.33

Will: The will of Alice Hersey of Hingham, widow, dated 23 June 1746, proved 5 Aug. 1746, acquits son Edward Mitchell of paying her a yearly amount given her by her husband Edward Mitchell; children of dau. Mary Hearsey deceased; Abel, Joshua, Bradford, Benjamin and Mercy Hearsey; daus. Alice Hearsey and Sarah Loring; and divide among all her children land given her by her father John Bradford deceased.

On 26 Aug 1708 when Alice was 31, she first married Ens. Edward Mitchell, son of Experience Mitchell (ca 1603/1609-bet 1684 and 1689) & Mary [Mitchell], in Plymouth, MA.131 Born ca 1645 in Duxbury, MA. Edward died on 15 Mar 1716 in Bridgewater, MA.131

Edward’s first wife was Mary Hayward of Bridgewater.

Joshua was a constable, selectman in 1725 and 1729, deacon of the Church of the First Parish, resided in the ancestral home, South Street, Hingham.33

9878. Abigail Bradford. Born on 10 Dec 1679 in Plymouth, MA.26 At the age of 11, Abigail was baptized in Plymouth, MA, on 2 Mar 1691. Abigail died in Plymouth, MA, on 4 May 1697; she was 17.

Gideon and Abigail: no known issue.131

Abigail married Gideon Sampson.

9879. Mercy Bradford. Born on 20 Dec 1681 in Plymouth, MA.26 At the age of 9, Mercy was baptized in Plymouth, MA, on 2 Mar 1691. Mercy died in Plympton, MA, on 27 Jun 1738; she was 56.131

Mercy inherited property from her father’s estate.131

On 12 Oct 1708 when Mercy was 26, she first married Jonathan Freeman (25635) , son of Dea. Thomas Freeman (13550) (Sep 1653-9 Feb 1715/6) & Rebecca Sparrow (34366) (10 Oct 1655-7 Feb 1740), in Plymouth, MA.131 Born on 11 Apr 1678 in Eastham, MA.156 Jonathan died in Harwich, MA, on 27 Apr 1714; he was 36.131

Samuel resided in Plympton, selectman several times, rep. to General Court, Lieut. of Plympton Battery, inherited property from his father’s estate.131

On 21 Oct 1714 when Samuel was 30, he married Sarah Gray, daughter of Edward Gray (31 Jan 1666-7 Jun 1726) & Mary Smith (23 Dec 1673-), in Plympton, MA.211 “Samuel Bradford was Married to Sarrah Graye Octob^r 21^st 1714 by Mr Isaac Cushman”. Born on 25 Apr 1697 in Tiverton, MA (now RI).287 Sarah died in Chilmark, Martha’s Vineyard, MA, on 16 Oct 1770; she was 73.131

William was called William Jr. in Kingston.134 He died before his father; his children inherited property from their gradfather’s estate.131

On 9 Dec 1714 when William was 26, he married Hannah Foster (25972) , daughter of Dea. John Foster (14047) (12 Oct 1666-24 Dec 1741) & Hannah Stetson (19046) (Nov 1671-ca 1747), in Plymouth, MA.131 Born on 25 Jul 1694 in Plymouth, MA.26 Hannah died in Duxbury, MA, on 17 Dec 1778; she was 84.131
