On 14 Sep 1696 when Elizabeth was 15, she first married Rev. Samuel Whiting, son of Rev. John Whiting (ca 1635-8 Sep 1689) & Sybil Collins (Nov 1637-3 Jun 1672), in Norwich, CT.131 Born on 22 Apr 1670 in Hartford, CT.131 Samuel died in Enfield, CT, on 27 Sep 1723; he was 53.131
Samuel received early education from his father. He studied for the ministry under Rev. James Fitch of Norwich. He was ordained 4 Dec 1700 , the first minister of Windham. In 1731 he published a Thanksgiving sermon. He died suddenly at the home of Rev. Nathaniel Collins, his cousin and brother-in-law. inscription on tombstone: “Here lies the body of the Rev Mr Samuel Whiting late successful minister of Windham who died Sept 27, 1725 in the 56 yar of his age.”131

On 22 Dec 1737 when Elizabeth was 56, she second married Rev. Samuel Niles, son of Nathaniel Niles & Sarah Sand, in Windham, CT.131 Born on 1 May 1674 in Block Island, CT.131 Samuel died on 1 May 1762; he was 88.131
