10547. Elizabeth Bulkeley. Born ca 1638 in Massachusetts Bay Colony.139 Elizabeth died on 4 Sep 1693 in Reading, MA.14

On 7 Dec 1665 Elizabeth first married Rev. Joseph Emerson (1186) , son of Thomas Emerson (425) (ca Jul 1584-1 May 1666) & Elizabeth Brewster (-aft 1666), in Concord, MA.50 “mr Joseph Embarson & Elizabeth Bulkely maryed, 7. desem^r 1665”. Born ca 1620 in Hertfordshire, EnglandBishops-Stortford, Hertfordshire. Joseph was baptized in Bishops-Stortford, Hertfordshire, on 25 Jun 1620.139 Joseph died on 3 Jan 1679/80 in Concord, MA.139

Joseph was a minister of the standing order of Puritan clergymen. He settled first with his father at Ipswich, and admitted a freeman there 19 Dec 1648. He preached at York, ME, in 1648, and soon after was the pastor at Wells, ME. His ministry was not successiful, and he was dismissed about 1664. He settled in Mendon, MA, 1 Dec 1669, and remained there until the town was destroyed in King Philip’s War at which time he removed to Concord. Administration on his estate was granted to his widow Elizabeth 10 Mar 1679/80.139

On 29 Mar 1682 Elizabeth second married Capt. John Brown (3029) , son of Nicholas Brown (842) (ca 1601-5 Apr 1673) & Elizabeth [Brown] (-aft 17 Jun 1673), in Reading, MA.139 Born ca 1634 in Malford, Worcestershire. John died on 12 Mar 1717 in Reading, MA.14

John lived on the farm now [1874] owned by Dr. Francis P. Hurd. He was captain, justice of the peace, selectman, and representative. His epitaph: “Witty, yet wise, grave, good, among the best/ Was he,—the memory of the just is blest.”15

10548. Hon. Peter Bulkeley. Born on 3 Jan 1640/1 in Concord, MA.139 Peter died in Concord, MA, on 21 May 1688; he was 47.139 Education: Harvard 1660.

On 16 Apr 1667 when Peter was 26, he married Rebecca Wheeler (8442) , daughter of Joseph Wheeler (2320) (Feb 1609/10-aft 1681) & Sarah Goldstone (-12 Mar 1670/1), in Concord, MA.50 “m^r Peter Bulkely & mrs Rebake Wheler maried 16. aprill “ 1667”. Born on 6 Sep 1645 in Concord, MA.139 Rebecca died in Concord, MA, on 20 Feb 1717/8; she was 72.139

Ephraim and Jane had no children.139

On 20 Mar 1683/4 Jane married Capt. Ephraim Flint, son of Thomas Flint (ca 1603-8 Oct 1653) & Abigail Bradell (ca 1607-18 Dec 1689), in Concord, MA.139 Born in 14 th 11th m. 1641 [Jan 1641/2] in Concord, MA.50 Ephraim died on 3 Aug 1723 in Concord, MA.139

10550. Mary Bulkeley. Born ca 1653 in Prob. Marshfield, MA. Mary died on 2 Dec 1700 in Chelmsford, MA.139

Mary married Rev. Thomas Clarke, son of Eld. Jonas Clark (ca 1621-11 Jan 1699/1700) & Elizabeth [Clarke] (-25 Mar 1673). Born on 2 Mar 1652/3 in Cambridge, MA.139 Thomas died in Chelmsford, MA, on 7 Dec 1704; he was 51.139 Education: Harvard 1670.
