Sarah and her sister Mercy were married on the same day to William and Benjamin Barstow, respectively.

On 20 Dec 1709 when Sarah was 29, she married William Barstow (9317) , son of William Barstow (2618) (Sep 1652-1711) & Martha [Barstow] (-13 Aug 1711), in the Second Church of Scituate.116 Born on 23 Nov 1684 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of <1, William was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 5 Feb 1685.116 William died bef 1734.

William married Sarah in a double marriage with his brother Benjamin, who married Sarah’s sister Mercy. William’s estate was settled in 1734. HIs widow Sarah is names, and Hannah, wife of William Ford, a daughter Sarah, and an only son William.

10977. Margaret Randall. Born on 18 Dec 1683 in Scituate, MA.116 Margaret died aft 29 May 1756.

On 14 Dec 1710 when Margaret was 26, she married Nathan Sprague (14043) , son of Sergt. Samuel Sprague (12822) (ca 1640-ca 1709) & Sarah Chillingsworth (4898) (ca 1642-1725), in Scituate, MA.116 Born ca 1679 in Marshfield, MA. Nathan died in 1758 in Marshfield, MA.317

Nathan was of Swansea MA where his father owned land when he married Margaret.317

Benjamin married Mercy Randall in a double marriage with his brother William, who married Mercy’s sister Sarah.

From the History of Hanover:162
    “Mr. B. occupied his father's house, being that of his gr. fa. Wm., and seems to have followed their trade, being a shipwright, and having his yard near the N. River Bridge. (See the chap. on Shipbuilding.) Tradition says that he had 21 ch. in all. From a diligent search of the Town and Church Records, of Scit., Pemb., and Hanover, I [Barry] find the 19. The other 2 prob. d. young.”

10979. Benjamin Randall. Born on 11 Jan 1689 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of 38, Benjamin was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 5 Feb 1726/7.193 Benjamin was baptized as an adult. Benjamin died between 30 Jun 1756 and 23 Mar 1764 in Scituate, MA. Religion: Benjamin Randall and Sarah his wife admitted 1 Nov 1730 to the Second Church of Scituate.

From Deane’s History of Scituate:6
    “The first family [Randall] residence was inherited by Benjamin, son of Joseph. He was the father of Paul and Daniel, who removed to Harpswell, and of William and Ezra, who removed to Thpsham, Maine, also of Capt. Benjamin, who built the house in which Seth Turner deceased 1830, one fourth mile south west of the south Meeting house.”

The will of Benjamin Randall of Scituate, Gentleman, dated 30 Jun 1756, proved 23 Mar 1764, names wife Sara Randall, sons Paul, William, and Daniel (under 21), Benjamin Ezra, and Isaiah, and daughters Sarah Briant, Huldah Randall, and Elizabeth Randall.262

On 17 May 1722 when Benjamin was 33, he married Sarah Oakman (9641) , daughter of Tobias Oakman (2816) (ca 1664-16 Jun 1750) & Elizabeth Doty (11168) (22 Dec 1673-16 Dec 1745), in Marshfield, MA.116 Born ca 1704 in Marshfield, MA.20 Sarah died on 12 Jun 1770 in Scituate, MA.116 Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell. Religion: member of the Second Church of Scituate, 1 Nov 1730.152
