The will of Samuel Hatch of Scitaute, yeoman, written 23 Oct 1766, proved 2 Feb 1767, mentions his wife Mary, grandsons John and Job Michel, grandsons Samuel, Amos, and Ezekiel Jones, daughters Lidia Mitchel and Ruth Jones, granddaughters Elizabeth Mitchell and Betty Jones.262
On 7 Mar 1704/5 when Samuel was 25, he first married Elizabeth Oldham (8620) , daughter of Thomas Oldham (6529) (ca Aug 1624-7 Mar 1711/2) & Mary Witherell (2397) (18 Mar 1635-12 Dec 1710), in the Second Church of Scituate.85,116 “Samwell Hatch junr and Elisabath Oldum both of Scittuate ware married march ye 7th: 1704/5”. Born on 5 May 1677 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of 1, Elizabeth was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 18 Aug 1678.116 Elizabeth died in by Oct 1747.
