On 18 Dec 1701 when Benjamin was 20, he first married Elizabeth Woodworth (8691) , daughter of Benjamin Woodworth (2423) (ca 1656-22 Apr 1728) & Deborah [Woodworth], in Little Compton, MA (now RI).224 They were married by Joseph Church, Justice. Born ca 1682 in Scituate, MA. Elizabeth was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 16 Jul 1682. Elizabeth died on 18 Jun 1713 in Little Compton, MA (now RI).224

Born on 24 Oct 1692 in Little Compton, MA (now RI).224 Susanna died on 25 Feb 1761; she was 68.

Will of Mary Southworth of Little Compton, widow, dated 2 Jun 1769, proved 4 Dec 1770, mentions sons Constant Southworth and Joseph Southworth; daughters Elizabeth Cory, Sarah Lawton, Mary Wilbur presumably wife of son-in-law Daniel Wilbur, and Abigail Woodworth. Witnesses Robert Taylor Jr, Gideon Taylor, and Gideon Palmer.137

On 17 Mar 1708 when Edward was 23, he first married Mary Fobes (17438) , daughter of Lieut. William Fobes (ca 1649-6 Nov 1712) & Martha Pabodie (6741) (24 Feb 1650/1-25 Jan 1712), in Little Compton, MA (now RI).224 Born ca 1689 in Little Compton, MA (now RI).224 Mary died on 14 Feb 1712 in Little Compton, MA (now RI).224

Edward and Mary were first cousins as their mothers were sisters.

On 2 Dec 1703 when Elizabeth was 17, she married Capt. David Little Esq (20170) , son of Ephraim Little (8339) (17 May 1650-24 Nov 1717) & Mary Sturtevant (16237) (7 Dec 1651-10 Feb 1717/8), in Little Compton, MA (now RI).116,224 They were married b y Joseph Church, Justice. Born on 18 Mar 1680/1 in Marshfield, MA.20,116 David died in Scituate, MA, on 9 Feb 1779; he was 98. Buried in Groveland Cem., North Scituate. Occupation: lawyer.

“David Little, Esq. was from Marshfield, 1700. He often laboured in publick affairs in the Twon, and practised as a lawyer. ... The family residence was north of ‘Hatchet rock,’ now [1831] the residence of Mr John Otis.”6

David built the ‘Two Stacks’ in 1700. This old Mansion on Mann Lot Road stood on an elevation that brought its two stacks of massive chimneys in full view of vessels coming into Scituate Harbor from the north. When the spire of the First Church, call the ‘Old Sloop,’ was in line with the ‘Two Stacks’ and a cirtain tree, vessels were on a safe course to avoid the dangerous ledges.7

In 1714 Nathaniel married Mary Torrey (27034) , daughter of Lieut. Josiah Torrey (28 Jan 1658-30 Oct 1732) & Sarah Wilson (15109) (ca 1650-ca 1725). Born on 17 Apr 1689 in Mendon, MA. Mary died in Jan 1768 in Coventry, CT.
