Timothy died unmarried. “April 3, 1749 an agreement was made ‘as to division of land of Timothy Hitchcock of New Haven, deceased, being land set off to him in estate of his father Ebenezer.’ This land was divided between his brothers, Ebenezer, Jonathan and Joseph and his sister Anne, the wife of John Russell.”200

12960. Joseph Hitchcock. Born bef 1717.200 Joseph was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 3 Apr 1726.30 Joseph died on 19 Jul 1773 in New Haven, CT.74

Joseph “was born earlier than 1717 for he is called Jospeh, Sr., on the New Haven records. Those records also seem to show that Joseph lived at one time in Bethany; ‘April 24, 1771, Jospeh Hitchcock of New Haven society of Bethany to Ebenezer Hitchcock of New Haven society of Mt. Carmel piece of land which was laid out to Ebenezer of New Haven.’ ... His widow Abigail administered on his estate in Oct., 1774.”200

On 5 Jul 1750 Joseph married Abigail Bishop (21810) , daughter of Dea. Samuel Bishop (9592) (18 Jul 1698-2 Oct 1779) & Abigail Atwater (Jun 1700-25 Feb 1782), in New Haven, CT.74 Born on 13 Jan 1726/7 in New Haven, CT.74 At the age of <1, Abigail was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 15 Jan 1726/7.30 Abigail died in New Haven, CT, on 6 Aug 1793; she was 66.30

On 13 May 1736 Ann married John Russell, son of William Russell (-5 Sep 1740) & Martha Sperry (5 Jan 1684/5-), in New Haven, CT.74 Born on 6 Nov 1710 in New Haven, CT. John died ca 1764.

12962. Ebenezer Hitchcock. Born ca 1717 in New Haven, CT.200 Ebenezer was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 5 Jul 1719.30 Ebenezer died ca 1764.30

Ebenezer moved from New Haven ten miles to Bethany, when the country was wilderness. He was drowned in a shallow spring or well. His estate was administered in Sep 1764.200

On 23 Mar 1747/8 Ebenezer married Rebecca Thomas (19369) , daughter of Joseph Thomas (7738) (ca 1690-1746) & Dorcas Richardson (17178) (2 Dec 1700-21 Mar 1790), in New Haven, CT.74 Born ca 1728.30 Rebecca was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 17 Sep 1738.30 Rebecca died ca 1811.30

12963. Jonathan Hitchcock. Born on 12 Jan 1724.30 At the age of <1, Jonathan was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 16 Feb 1723/4.30 Jonathan died in Derby, CT, on 11 Jan 1808; he was 83.30 Buried on 12 Jan 1808.200 Was on the census for Derby, CT, in 1790.30 1-1-2.

Jonathan lived in Derby, CT. He took the freeman’s oath 16 Sep 1777 and was one of seven men appointed in Derby, ‘to class the people for filling up the State’s quota in the Contental ARmy.’200

On 21 Jan 1746/7 when Jonathan was 23, he married Abigail Beecher, daughter of Samuel Beecher (ca 1687-1760) & Hannah Farrington (17 Aug 1687-), in Derby, CT.132 Born ca 1722 in New Haven, CT. Abigail was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 16 Sep 1722.30 Abigail died on 2 Jun 1802 in Derby, CT.30
