On 2 Apr 1714 when Esther was 18, she married Jonathan Poole Esq. (17854) , son of Capt. Jonathan Poole Esq (6938) (28 Feb 1667-28 May 1723) & Bridget Fitch (1 Nov 1669-2 May 1723), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 14 Sep 1692 in Reading, MA.14 Jonathan died in Woburn, MA, on 8 Feb 1755; he was 62. Buried in First Burial Ground of Woburn.149 “Here lyes buried the body of Mr. Jonathan Pool, Esq'r., who departed this life, February 8, A.D. 1755. Aetatis 63”.
Jonathan lived on the place now [1887] occupied by the Rattan Works. He sold out his paternal homestead and removed to Lynnfield.15
His epitaph: “The Righteous are taken away from ye Evil to come, while ye liveing lay it not to their Harts/The Memory of the Just is Blessed.”149
