On 10 Jan 1753 when Ruth was 20, she married Nathaniel Bemis (14147) , son of Samuel Bemis (4947) (ca 1691-Aug 1776) & Sarah Barnard (9235) (25 Jan 1693/4-30 Sep 1756), in Spencer, MA.11 Born in 1725 in Spencer, MA.11 Nathaniel died in Jan 1784 in Spencer, MA.319

Nathaniel received 100 acres of the family homestead, where John Bemis 2nd resided in 1860.319
