14294. John Wade.

Sometimes it is claimed that a son of Nicholas & Elizabeth’s named John moved to Lyme, CT, and died there 24 Mar 1726/7 having married first Elizabeth Durant of Middletown, and second Hannah Brockway of Lyme.

14295. Thomas Wade.

ca 1670 Thomas married Hannah Ensign (4295) , daughter of Dea. Thomas Ensign (1193) (ca 1599-bet 16 Jul 1663 and 17 Feb 1663/4) & Elizabeth Wilder (2356) (ca 1621-bet. 1 Nov 1676 and 19 Nov 1686).176 Born ca 1652 in Scituate, MA.176

Hannah was the mother of Thomas’s first three children, Silence, Jacob, and Joseph, and it is not known if she was the mother of Thomas’s later children.176

14296. Joseph Wade. Born ca 1648 in Scituate, MA. Joseph died in 1676 in Rehoboth, MA.6

Joseph fell with Capt. Pierce in the Rehoboth battle, 1676.6

Joseph married Sarah Ensign (4294) , daughter of Dea. Thomas Ensign (1193) (ca 1599-bet 16 Jul 1663 and 17 Feb 1663/4) & Elizabeth Wilder (2356) (ca 1621-bet. 1 Nov 1676 and 19 Nov 1686). Born ca 1650 in Scituate, MA.176

On 3 Oct 1665 Sarah Ensigne, who was probably no older than 15 at the time, was convicted of ‘whoredom aggreuated with diuerse cercomstances’ and sentenced to be whipped (Plymouth Colony Records 4:106). On the same date Elizaeth Ensigne, widow, complained against Thomas Summers for £500 damage for “inticing and drawing away her daughter vnseasonably, and by vnlawfull meanes, against her will, and abusing her daughter.” The jury awarded her only 50s. and the cost of the suit (Plymouth Colony Records 7:126).176

14298. Elizabeth Wade. Born ca 1650.7

“Nicholas Wade, and his daughter Elizabeth, petitioned the Court for a divorcement from Stevens, he being a man of debased life, having another wife in Boston, and another in Barbadoes.”6

Elizabeth married Marmaduke Stevens. They were divorced in 1679.6

14299. Susanna Wade. Born ca 1653.

Susanna first married William Welcomb. William died on 26 Mar 1676 in the Rehobeth Battle.

Susanna second married Joseph White.

14300. Hannah Wade. Born ca 1656 in Scituate, MA. Hannah was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 3 Aug 1656.116

14301. Nicholas Wade. Born ca 1660 in Scituate, MA. Nicholas was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 1 Jul 1660.116

Nicholas first married Mary Ripley, daughter of Abraham Ripley (-11 Oct 1683) & Mary Farnsworth (30 Mar 1637-1705). Born on 1 May 1660 in Hingham, MA.33

Children of Joseph and Bathsheba (Pinson) Nichols: Joseph, Thomas, Noah, (who died, all three in the French war), and Israel, Amos, Caleb , and Job, from 1696 to 1716.6

14302. Jacob Wade. Born ca 1661 in Scituate, MA.

Jacob left no family in Scituate. He was living 1676, and received a legacy from his uncle John Ensign.6
