14413. John Alden. Born on 7 Oct 1710 in Duxbury, MA.225 At the age of <1, John was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 10 Dec 1710.7 John died in Duxbury, MA, on 15 Oct 1712; he was 2.58

14414. Capt. Samuel Alden. Born on 7 Nov 1712 in Duxbury, MA.225 At the age of <1, Samuel was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 17 May 1713.6 Samuel died in Bitton, Gloucestershire, England, on 10 Oct 1757; he was 44. Buried in St. Mary's church, Bitton.

Samuel was bred a sailor and soon rose to the command of a merchant ship. He finally settled in England, at Bristol, as a merchant, and corresponding with Samuel Partridge of Boston, MA. He married in England, Edith, but died without issue. He bequeathed the homestead which he had inherited to his brother Col. Briggs Alden.58

On 31 Jul 1740 when Samuel was 27, he married Edith Read in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. Born ca 1720. Edith died on 29 Nov 1775 in Bitton, Gloucestershire, England. Buried on 3 Dec 1775 in St. Mary's church, Bitton.

14415. Capt. Judah Alden. Born on 10 Aug 1714 in Duxbury, MA.225 Judah died ca 1740.

Capt. Judah was bred to the sea, and died, while in command of a merchantman, on his passage to Scotland, having shortly before married Miss Row of Boston.58

On 30 Dec 1739 when Judah was 25, he married Abigail Roe, daughter of Peter Roe & Mary Lockey, in Boston, MA. Born ca 1721. Abigail died on 16 Nov 1782 in Boston, MA.

Abigail married second James Dalton.

14416. Anna Alden. Born on 2 Jun 1716 in Duxbury, MA.225 Anna died in Duxbury, MA, on 1 Jul 1804; she was 88.

On 8 Feb 1739 when Anna was 22, she married Benjamin Loring (12108) , son of Lieut. Thomas Loring (6142) (15 Mar 1667/8-5 Dec 1717) & Deborah Cushing (3950) (7 Sep 1674-18 Oct 1770), in Duxbury, MA.58 Born on 12 Oct 1708 in Duxbury, MA.82 Benjamin died in Duxbury, MA, on 1 Mar 1781; he was 72.

14417. Deborah Alden. Born on 16 May 1721 in Duxbury, MA.225 Deborah died in Duxbury, MA, on 2 Oct 1730; she was 9.58

14418. Col. Briggs Alden. Born on 8 Jun 1723 in Duxbury, MA.225 Briggs died in Duxbury, MA, on 4 Oct 1796; he was 73.

Col. Briggs resided at the family mansion.58

On 19 Nov 1741 when Briggs was 18, he married Mercy Wadsworth, daughter of Ichabod Wadsworth (16 Mar 1686/7-1 Aug 1746) & Margaret Marshall (8 Dec 1702-14 Mar 1773), in Duxbury, MA.58 Born on 7 Sep 1724 in Duxbury, MA. Mercy died in Duxbury, MA, on 23 Apr 1812; she was 87.

On 23 Jan 1745/6 when Abigail was 18, she married Col. Anthony Thomas (22015) , son of John Thomas (12520) (8 Nov 1683-Jan 1769) & Lydia Waterman (9829) (20 Feb 1689-17 Jan 1758), in Marshfield, MA. Born on 25 Mar 1719 in Marshfield, MA.7 Anthony died in Marshfield, MA, on 14 Jul 1781; he was 62.7

Anthony, of Marshfield, was a Colonel in the Militia commissioned 31 Aug 1775. 7
