On 12 Nov 1656 Dorcas married Rev. Samuel Whiting (8486) , son of Rev. Samuel Whiting (2340) (20 Nov 1597-11 Dec 1679) & Elizabeth St.John (3210) (12 Jan 1604-3 Mar 1676/7), in Charlestown, MA.81 Mr. Samuel Whiing & Dorcas Cheseter, married by Capt. Danile Gookin. Born on 25 Mar 1633 in Skirbeck, Lincolnshire. Samuel died in Billerica, MA, on 28 Feb 1712/3; he was 79. Education: Harvard 1653, with AM 1656.

Samuel, freeman 1656, was ordained 11 Nov 1663, the first minister of Billerica although he had preached there more than five years before.
