Ebenezer was a prominent citizen, served as assessor, surveyor of highways, selectman, moderator of town meeting, and captain of the militia.147
On 2 Feb 1720/1 when Ebenezer was 24, he married Mercy Foster (25974) , daughter of Dea. John Foster (14047) (12 Oct 1666-24 Dec 1741) & Hannah Stetson (19046) (Nov 1671-ca 1747), in Plymouth, MA. Born ca 1698 in Plymouth, MA. Mercy died on 4 Apr 1782 in Middleboro, MA.147

On 21 Oct 1732 when Deborah was 34, she second married Caleb Stetson (30168) , son of Gershom Stetson (19048) (Jan 1676/7-5 Apr 1754) & Mary Holmes (5 Nov 1674-9 Sep 1708), in Plymouth, MA. Born in Sep 1708. Caleb died in 1741 in Falmouth, MA.
